Guernsey: staff sickness and training
Training, food handler rules and when sick staff must stay away from food.
Checked
“Law” is a binding rule. “Official guidance” is not law, but inspectors expect it. “Chef Hygiene default” is a value the app checks against where no rule gives a number.
- Official guidanceFood handlers should be supervised and trained in food hygiene for their work. This is good practice. Guernsey sets no certificate renewal the research could confirm.
- Official guidanceStaff with diarrhoea or vomiting stay away from food until 48 hours after the symptoms stop. This is UK-style guidance.
